We are a small boutique service built on a simple realisation: most companies that help people access their super for addiction treatment treat it like a transaction. Lodge the paperwork, collect the fee, and move on to the next client.
We saw what that approach cost families. People would get their applications submitted, then spend weeks in limbo with no support, no updates, and no one to call when panic set in at 2 am. For families already in crisis, that waiting period often became the breaking point.
We started Use My Super to change that. We stay involved from your first conversation through to the day you walk into treatment. Our team doesn't clock off at 5pm because we know that's often when the hardest moments hit. We're qualified alcohol and drug professionals, and we're available around the clock.
The work is personal for us. Georgina has spent over a decade in the alcohol and other drugs sector and founded Tanya's Home, a charity supporting mothers in recovery. Marcus has been in recovery himself since 2013 and spent six years working in treatment centres. We both understand what families go through because we've lived different parts of this journey ourselves.
We limit the number of treatment providers we work with by choice. It's not a business constraint; it's how we deliver the service we'd want our own families to receive.
When you work with larger companies, you're one case among hundreds. Your application gets processed, but you don't get a relationship. You don't get someone who knows your name, understands your specific situation, and genuinely cares whether you make it into treatment.
We keep our caseload manageable because the work we do requires proper attention. When a client calls at midnight, struggling to stay committed to treatment, we want to be the ones who answer. When paperwork hits a snag with the ATO, we want to catch it immediately, not three days later when someone finally reviews the file.
This approach means we can't take on every client who comes to us. But for the families we do work with, we can promise genuine support and personal attention throughout the entire process.
Georgina holds a Diploma of Community Services and a Bachelor of Psychological Science, with over ten years of experience in the alcohol and other drugs sector.
She founded Tanya’s Home, a registered charity dedicated to advocating for and supporting mothers in recovery as they work toward stability and reunification with their children.
She brings a deep understanding of both the clinical and practical challenges families face.
At Use My Super, Georgina manages the coordination between treatment providers, medical professionals, and the ATO. She's known for her ability to navigate complex bureaucratic systems whilst keeping families informed and supported throughout the process.
Her approach is straightforward: treat every client with the same care and attention she'd want for her own family, and don't let paperwork be the reason someone can't access treatment.
Marcus holds a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs and a Diploma of Business. He spent six years working within treatment centres before joining Use My Super, and has been in recovery himself since 2013.
That lived experience shapes everything Marcus does. He understands the fear that comes with committing to treatment, the shame that makes it hard to ask for help, and the vulnerability of waiting for approval whilst trying to stay strong. He knows what it feels like because he's been there.
At Use My Super, Marcus is often the primary point of contact for clients and families. He manages the application process, coordinates with super funds, and provides support during the waiting period. His priority is simple: make sure every person feels understood, supported, and guided through the process with dignity.
Clients often tell us that Marcus's ability to relate to what they're going through made the difference between following through with treatment and giving up during the wait.
A significant portion of profits from Use My Super support Tanya’s Home, but that’s not why we do this work.
We do it because watching someone access treatment and rebuild their life never gets old. We often say that recovery from addiction is remarkable to witness, and being part of that journey, even in this administrative capacity, matters to us.
We're here to handle the bureaucracy so families can focus on what actually matters, healing.
